The Story of Noah’s Ark: A Perfect Story for Preschoolers

Before we jump into the game, let’s remind ourselves of the beautiful and meaningful story of Noah’s Ark. This Bible story is beloved by children and families around the world. For those of you who might need a quick refresher, here’s a simplified version of the story to share with your kids:

The Story of Noah’s Ark for Preschoolers (Adapted from Genesis 6:9-8:22)

A long, long time ago, there was a man named Noah. He loved God and always tried to follow God’s Law and do what was right. But the world had become a very bad place, and God decided to send a big flood to wash everything away.

God told Noah to build a huge boat called an ark. Noah worked very hard to build it even though other people thought he was crazy. God told Noah to take his family and two of every kind of animal onto the ark. There were pairs of animals—two lions, two elephants, two rabbits, and so on. But for some animals, like the clean ones, Noah was to bring seven pairs of them. Clean animals were the ones used for special things, like sacrifices.

After Noah finished the ark, he gathered all the animals and his family. They all went inside the ark, and God closed the door.

Then, the rain started. It rained and rained and rained for 40 days and 40 nights! The water covered the ground, and the ark floated on top of it. But Noah, his family, and all the animals were safe inside.

After 40 days and 40 nights, the rain stopped. After some time, the water slowly went down. Soon, the ark came to rest on a mountain. Noah sent out a dove to see if the ground was dry, and when the dove returned with an olive leaf in its beak, Noah knew it was time to leave the ark.

God promised Noah that He would never send such a big flood again. He placed a beautiful rainbow in the sky as a sign of that promise.

From that day on, Noah, his family, and all the animals started their new lives on the earth.
