John 3:16 Coloring Pages

As a child, one of the first Bible verses I learned was John 3:16. This verse has always been special to me because it tells of the Father’s deep love for His children. The fact that He would send His only Son to die so I can live will always leave me in awe. Because of the power of this verse, I want my children to hide this Scripture in their hearts. I want them to know the width, length, depth, and height of God’s love for them (Ephesians 3:18).

I created these John 3:16 coloring pages for you to use as a tool to teach your child about this simple but powerful verse. Your child will enjoy coloring one or all three designs in this free printable “For God So Loved the World” coloring page pack. As your child colors these pages, I suggest you open your Bible together and read this life-changing verse. Yes, the verse is printed on the coloring sheet, but there is something special about reading from the pages of an open Bible with your child!

Coloring pages are one of my favorite tools for teaching children about God’s Truth. That’s because the activity of coloring is easy to implement. As a mama, I have found that complicated crafts and activities cause me to feel overwhelmed. Then that overwhelming feeling and “analysis paralysis” takes over and I end up doing nothing at all in the way of fun activities to teach my kids about God’s Ways. I strongly believe that mamas need simple and easily accessible crafts and activities to help our kids grow in God’s Truth!

I encourage you to use these John 3:16 coloring pages as an opportunity for meaningful conversation with your child. For example, after you have read the Scripture from your Bible and as your child colors the page, ask them open-ended questions to spark meaningful discussion. Simple questions can sometimes spark dialogue that leads to a deeper understanding of God’s Word and bonding with your child.
